Lots of people and pets came out for the parade and costume contest!
And the residents lined up for an entertaining morning!

Thank you all for supporting the City of Milton’s First Police Dog!
I wanted to offer a special thank you to my clients and friends for their very generous donations towards the purchase of a kevlar (bullet proof) vest for our city’s first police dog DaSilva – Thank you!
Here are a few pictures of DaSilva with his human partner, Officer Kiel, at a recent city council meeting where they were presented with the vest. At first, DaSilva tried to eat it (it was really cute – I’m guessing playing “dress up” wasn’t part of his training!!), but once it was on him he seemed very comfortable in it!
"Is that for me?"
"I'm supposed to wear that? I'd rather eat it!"
"I'm such a lucky dog!"
Officer Kiel and DaSilva also wish to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who was so generous in this wonderful cause.
And thank you Officers Kiel and DaSilva for all you do to protect our city!!
Thanks to everyone's generosity, not only was enough money raised to purchase the vest, but a special donation was made to the City of Milton towards the purchase of a bite suit to continue DaSilva's training.
A donation was also made to Kevlar for K9s. This is a non-profit organization that supplies kevlar vests to working dogs in the police force, in service in the military and homeland security. Thank you Cindy for all of your help and guidance in selecting the right vest for DaSilva!
