This webiste is a work in progress -  I'm a pet sitter and not a website guru!

Why would you need a pet sitter?

Why not?

The truth is, you and your pet need to decide if a pet sitter is right for you.

Pet Stress

The fact that you're not home can be stressful to your pets (even the ones that are always under the bed anyway!). Putting your babies in a boarding facility can be even more stressful for them. They are probably receiving good care, but if they are like mine, they'd much rather be at home in their own bed (or yours!). Another deterrent to stress is staying on their own schedule without lots of strange activity and animals barking or crying through the night. They want to eat their own food and take care of "business" in their own yard or box.
Is it really fair to put your parrot in the "cat room" while you're sitting on the beach?

"Bailey was our first "baby". For her first 9 years we used a very nice kennel facility. We had no complaints, but the guilt always drove us nuts. Now when we go away we know she is happy and taken care of. She gets to stay in her own home, with her own routine and comforts. When we return she is happy and rested." - P.P.

Your Stress

You can add your stress, which your babies will definitely pick up on. Isn't it bad enough that they see the suitcase and know you're leaving them? Your local kennel has been wonderful with for years and she loves going. You have to get her packed; food and maybe a favorite toy, get to the kennel and then get yourself on your way. Be sure to arrange your plans around the business hours of the facility you're using because if you're late it could be a whole extra day until you can get your baby home.

"We had traveled to Puerto Rico and our return flight was unexpectedly delayed. Upon our return, I discovered Lisa had checked our flight info, and realized that Mishu would need to be fed again. Lisa came over for an additional visit without being asked and without a second thought." - C.N.

Trust

I offer peace of mind for them and for you too. Not only does your pet have the luxury of staying at home, following his regular routine but you also have someone checking your home regularly while your away, turning lights on and off, bringing in mail and even watering the plants. The kid next door may be wonderful at playing with Fluffy, but can you trust him to come over to give him his medication on schedule?

"I have four show dogs, 3 Golden's and one obnoxious Lab. Prior to meeting Lisa, I was scared to death to leave my show dogs. With Lisa, I'm confident, knowing the dogs are kept to the schedule we agreed to and well exercised. I also know she will take appropriate action in the event that something should happen." - T.F.

Love and Attention

In a kennel on average, your baby can get about 15 minutes of one-on-one attention (some facilities will let you buy more time). Ratios of pets-to-people can be as high as 15 to 1. With everything that needs to be taken care of that doesn’t leave much time for your baby. I will give your pet the benefit of focused one-on-one attention during the entire visit to your home and for some pets this can be 3 or more times a day!

"I have been able to count on you to not only be there when needed, but you have been very flexible and able to accommodate our crazy schedule and ever changing plans. I especially appreciated when you called me to see if we were going away the weekend we skipped. That call could have prevented a very bad situation for Buddy had we gone and I forgot to call you." - L.S.

Day-to-Day

Even when you're not traveling a pet sitter can be a huge help. Living in Atlanta, we all know that if you work anywhere outside Alpharetta, but live here, your commute can easily be an hour or more each way. Wouldn't it be nice to not have to worry if the dog has to go out, then try to "beat the traffic" to get home?

We can set up a regular schedule for afternoon visits where I come to your house. Your babies and I will take a walk and get some much needed "mid-day tummy-rubs" and of course lots of love. Your babies will be happy and content and you can concentrate on your job and driving safely home.

Convenience

My goal is to help you keep your pets happy. I offer a pet taxi service where I can drop-off or pick-up your pet from the vet or even do some pet supply shopping for you.

I am currently accepting new clients in the Milton and downtown Alpharetta, Georgia, 30004 zip code and I would love to help you love your pets! Let's talk in person to see what I can do for you to help keep your pets safe, healthy and happy while giving you peace of mind.
